
Terry F. May
CEO and President
After obtaining a BSME from
the University of Texas at El Paso in 1973, Terry was employed as Plant
Engineer for E.I. Dupont from 1973 to 1974. From 1974 to 1977, he worked
as a Cathodic Protection Engineer for El Paso Natural Gas Company. From
1977 to 1979, he was a Senior Corrosion Engineer for Williams Brothers
Engineering Company in Tulsa.
Terry May founded MESA in 1979 to provide technical services in cathodic
protection and coating evaluation. MESA has now become one of the leading
suppliers of corrosion products and services. His primary area of technical
expertise is design and application of cathodic protection systems for
underground structures. He has authored a number of articles and technical
presentations.
Terry is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, NACE Corrosion Specialist,
and NACE Instructor. He is currently President of the NACE Foundation
and has previously served as NACE Treasurer, NACE Board of Directors,
NACE Finance Committee Chairman, South Central Region Chairman, along
with a number of other NACE committees.
He is active in community affairs, currently serving on the Board of the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. His past activities include the Tulsa Chamber
Small Business Council and delegate to the Oklahoma Small Business Commission.
