Not Business as Usual

In today’s business environment, we have to be prepared
for quick response to many out-of-the-ordinary situations. The Houston employees
of MESA recently had to respond to one of those situations.
Building an ark to withstand a flood might have been all in
a day’s work for Noah, but dealing with a flood isn’t in the standard job
description for MESA employees. Heavy rains in the Houston area created flood
conditions in areas that normally don’t flood.
The Houston office for MESA is located near George Bush Intercontinental
Airport and water levels in this area were almost four feet above ground level.
Our office/warehouse had over one foot of water inside the building -
damaging computers, furniture, equipment, and inventory.
After emptying out desks, ripping out carpet, and hosing
muck out of the warehouse, we were able to have the office back in operation in
two days. New computers were
installed and connected to our Tulsa mainframe without disruption to sales and
product delivery.
We are proud of the way our employees responded to an
emergency situation and their commitment to maintaining uninterrupted service to
our customers.
