MESA Keeps Up with the Learning Curve
At MESA, we truly believe our employees are our most valuable commodities because of their unselfish attitudes and unceasing dedication. But, we recognize that the demands of today’s business environment require more than a good attitude. Specialized training is beneficial and in some cases required for employees to be effective in their job.
MESA recently became ISO 9002 certified. Training is a key part of that certification. MESA employees undergo job specific training to improve their capabilities and to maintain certification. Other required training needs includes OSHA, Hazardous Materials Communication, Alcohol & Drug Awareness and Workplace Safety. Additionally, DOT has now established Operator Qualification Training requirements for those employees engaged in pipeline activities.
Because of the increasing training demands, MESA is formalizing its Training Program under the direction of our Training Coordinator, Ann Hughes. Ann also acts as our ISO Coordinator. Our training program will establish minimum training requirements for all positions and maximize all available training resources.
Since this area of training is so important to us, we are building a dedicated training area at our Tulsa facility. This training area will be complete with computer workstations, and audiovisual equipment.
We believe this training facility is just another indication of MESA’s commitment to set the standard of excellence in the cathodic protection industry.
